Small Business Owner more likely victims of Identity Theft
March 1, 2010 in Small Business Insight Tags: business owners, fraud, Identity Theft, information, public domain
Identity fraud is a big problem. It is a problem that affects everyone; directly or indirectly. Small Business Owners must be extra vigilant with their personal information and their sensitive business information. Due to the nature of small business, most times, there are not compliance departments and, usually, much is being done by a few people. This opens the door to security breaches and information leaks. Just think of documents that you must mail, email or fax; what sensitive information may be contained in them? Because most companies have information in the public domain or must transmit or send information into public domain. As a small business owner, you must be diligent with how data is managed and what leaves your company and travels through the public domain.

That rss feature on your blog here is impressive, you should tell people about it in your next post. I haven’t noticed it for the first couple of times, now I’m using it every morning to check on any updates. I’m on a rattling slow dial-up connection in Brazil and it’s rather hindering to sit there and wait for such a long time ’til the page loads… but hey, I just found your rss page and added it to the Google Reader and voil? – I’m always up-to-date! Well pal, keep up the good work and make that rss button a little bigger so that other people can enjoy that as well

One important thing I like about blog articles is the fact that they provoke an idea in my mind. And once that happens, I feel like I must write a comment with the hope it can be beneficial to others. Simply because there are various blogs and forums with many points of view, they test your thinking. It really is at these moments when you have very important insignt others might not have had, along with the blogger herself/himself. I find myself coming back to to your blogging site simply because you have numerous wonderful insights and also you are actually at this a very long time, which is very inspiring and tells me you know your stuff. Keep sparking ideas in other people!

Yeah the number of victims increasing day-by-day. So its the high time to take care of your private data. If you have no choice and you need to feed/tell the data there then check whether that source is reliable and secured. Make sure they do not share your data with anyone. Keep your eyes on your every private data to avoid uncertain loss in your business.
